OK, thanks for working on that. At least I should be able to read it on a laptop!

Yes, the Alzheimer's article. I just now tried to access the "favorites" article on the different diet plans, and couldn't that one either.

Okay. If you’re using your laptop and want to claim a free post, a window will pop up that prompts you to get the Substack app with a QR code. If you do that, it will unlock the post. You can then go back to your laptop to read it. It seems there isn’t a way to avoid downloading the app to claim a free post, but you don’t have to use it. Hope that helps! 😊

Ill try to troubleshoot this. Meanwhile, maybe it’s because they’re all in that one article together. Have you tried going to my home page and opening the articles you’re interested in directly?

At the bottom of the first page it says "Continue reading this post for free, from Barbie Boules". Then when I click on "next" to go to the next page, it tells me to get the app, or redirects me back to the "favorites" post for the month.

I read most of my emails on my desktop, and I'd just rather not get another app, I've got so many. Once when I again tried to get to the 2nd page it said to click and it would send me both a link to get the app, or a way to get it some other way (can't remember, but I think it alluded to desktop access). Anyway, when I opened the email that was sent, it only sent a link to get the app.

I mean, I can get the app if I have to, but I'm thinking there might be others who would like to the view posts on their desktops. I don't want to make it a big thing, so if it's something that's easy to fix, fine, otherwise, maybe I'll just get the app.

I personally prefer desktop too. Let me look into it. Meanwhile, is there a particular article you’d like to access?

I know this is not the place to post technical questions, but I can't find any other way to contact you. My understanding is that I am entitled to read one article a month in full, as well as the one "most favorite" article. My problem is I cannot access the 1 free article in full.

Please advise.

Thanks!

Okay well help each other here. I’m brand new to Substack. 😊 What do you see when you try to use your free read? Does it cut off after the summary?
